I tend to fix on one fandom for a long period of time, then detach and blow myself elsewhere.  Right now, Naruto's on the brain, but Bleach is also hot for me right now, and I'm still liable to write for Kingdom Hearts again when the mood strikes me.  I also love Stephen King.  If you couldn't tell.

After the cracky glory of Shippuden 115, episode 116 just feels like a confusing, conflicting jumble of things that fail and things that should win but are overtaken by the fail.

The Story of Shippuden 116:

Animator 1: I love Karin! I feel that she is badass and awesome and this episode should reflect that badassery and awesomeness!
Animator 2: STFU HOR, KARIN IS TEH LAME AND SHE SHUD GET HER HOR HANDS OFF SASUKE BLARRRR
Animator 3: Karin and Sasuke are destined lurve and I AM GOING TO SHIP THEM LIKE MAD, NEVER MIND HER CHARACTERIZATION.

Guy in charge of all the Animators: Well....since I don't feel that being CONSISTENT is important, I'm just going to divvy up this episode into thirds and give one third to each of you.

Seriously.

First third of episode: KARIN IS BETTER THAN EVERYBODY, BETCHEZ.
Second third of episode: KARIN IS SO ANNOYING, DON'T YOU HATE HER?
Final third of episode: KARIN AND SASUKE, SITTIN IN A TREE~ EXCEPT SASUKE JUST NEEDS MORE TIME TO DISCOVER HIS LOOOOOVE SO FOR NOW IT IS PAINFULLY ONE-SIDED, LA LA~


I am upset because for eight minutes Karin was SO AWESOME, and then they were like, "SCREW IT, WHO ARE WE KIDDING? THE FANDOM HATES HER, LET'S JUST GIVE THEM MORE AMMO." TT_TT

but but but aksdlsj they are so cute, too, and I want to ship them so bad, but not if it ruins Karin's character, s-sob ;A; ;A;

The plot of Shippuuden 115:

SASUKE AND SUIGETSU GO ON A ROAD TRIP.

NOT MAKING THIS UP.

There is a scene where Sasuke buys Suigetsu 10 yogurts and ignores the entire staff of the yogurt bar gushing over his hotness.  There were sparkles.

And then they have a coolness contest where whoever is cooler wins.

Best.  Episode.  Ever.

...I'll do the manga one!  For old time's sake!

No, you probably didn't.  But that's not the point.  The point is...SHIPPUUDEN'S BACK IN CANON, AND THAT MEANS THERE IS SASUKE TO BE HAD!  ON TO EPISODE REACTIONS!

Next time: Kabuto is clueless in a hallway, and Random is the only person who thinks that CS2 is the sexiest thing to fly on handwings.  Meanwhile, mini-Orochimaru is startlingly adorable, and Sasuke is attacked by Cthulthu.  Yaaay.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.
